Terms of Service

Last updated: August 14, 2026

These terms are a binding agreement between you and the operator of Planrotfish (“we”, “us”) about your use of Planrotfish (the “Service”), the planning application available at planrotfish.com. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms; if you don’t agree with them, don’t use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

1. The service

Planrotfish provides task planning, project boards, calendar views, time tracking, and optional integrations with third-party services (currently Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, GitHub, GitLab, Gitea and Slack), plus an API through which you can authorize external clients. Features may change as the product evolves; we’ll give reasonable advance notice — in the app or by email — before removing anything substantial.

2. Accounts and trial

  • You need an account to use the Service. You’re responsible for activity under your account, for providing accurate information, and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • New accounts get a free, full-featured trial (currently 30 days), with no payment details required. We may change the trial length for new signups, but we won’t shorten a trial that is already running.
  • When the trial ends without a subscription, your account becomes read-only: your data stays visible, and you can request an export or deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy), but editing requires a subscription.

3. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid subscriptions are sold through Stripe Managed Payments, where Link is the merchant of record — your purchase appears as “Sold through Link” and on your statement as LINK.COM*. Your purchase is also subject to Link’s own terms; invoices, taxes/VAT, payment methods and refund processing are handled through them.
  • Payment and subscription support is handled by Link. Link can issue a refund for a transaction within 60 days in certain cases, including where we don’t respond to a support escalation in time. A full refund or a chargeback ends your paid access immediately; a partial refund does not.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; your access continues to the end of the period you’ve paid for, and nothing further is charged.
  • If we change prices, we’ll announce the change at least 30 days in advance, and it applies from your next renewal. If you don’t agree with a price change, cancel before it takes effect.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we retry and notify you; continued failure pauses the subscription and the account returns to read-only until payment succeeds.
  • If a payment is refunded or charged back, the associated subscription access ends immediately.

4. Your content

  • Your workspaces, projects, tasks, comments, time entries, events and files remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
  • You grant us the limited, non-exclusive rights needed to operate the Service: hosting, storing, backing up, transmitting and displaying your content to you and to the workspace members you share it with, and processing it as the features you use require (for example, writing an event to a calendar you connected). These rights end when the content or your account is deleted, except for the short-lived backups described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Content in a shared workspace is visible to that workspace’s members according to their roles. You control who is a member of your workspaces.
  • You’re responsible for your content: don’t store or share anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t abuse the Service. In particular: don’t attempt to access other users’ data; don’t probe, disrupt or overload our infrastructure; don’t circumvent rate limits or access controls; don’t resell access; don’t send spam through the Service; and use automated access only through the documented API. We may suspend or restrict accounts that violate this section, with notice where practical.

6. Third-party integrations

Connecting a third-party account (calendar, git provider, Slack) is optional and governed by that provider’s own terms. Where a feature says so, syncing works in both directions — for example, an event you create in Planrotfish can be created in your connected calendar. You can disconnect an integration at any time in Settings, which stops further syncing and deletes our stored tokens for it. We’re not responsible for third-party services or their availability. If you create a calendar feed link (ICS), anyone who has that link can read the events in that feed — treat feed links like passwords.

7. Authorized API clients

You can authorize external clients (for example, AI assistants) to access your account through our API. Anything an authorized client does within your account counts as done by you, so connect only clients you trust, and revoke access when you no longer use them. We may throttle or block clients that endanger the Service.

8. Availability, warranties and liability

  • The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We work to keep it fast and available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill; and our total liability for all claims related to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited under applicable law — such as liability for intent or gross negligence — or restricts mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

9. Termination

  • You can stop using the Service at any time and have your account deleted by emailing support@planrotfish.com; deletion permanently removes your personal data and content as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these terms — with notice where practical, or immediately in serious cases such as abuse or a security threat.
  • If we ever discontinue the Service, we’ll give at least 30 days’ notice and a reasonable opportunity to export your data first.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 4, 8 and 11) survive it.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree with a change, stop using the Service and cancel your subscription before the effective date; continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

11. General

  • If any provision of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision is deemed replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its intent.
  • Not enforcing a provision at some moment is not a waiver of it.
  • You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign them to a successor that continues operating the Service (for example, in a merger or sale), provided your rights under them remain unaffected.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator of the Service is established. If you use the Service as a consumer, you also keep the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, including any right to bring disputes before your local courts.
  • These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
